Just finished the first DVD of this set and Tom Richards introduced some new blood into the show. Still some very interesting police story lines (from an American perspective) Grinning George and How Does your Garden Grow are two very contrasting episodes. One would think the later was a comedy episode if not for what corporations will do. Glad the company admitted it messed up in the end. Getting ready to order4 volume 6 in a few minutes and nothing goes better with Matlock Police than volume 5 of The Box

Matlock Police is as good as any of today's shows. A lot are in black and white but that doesn't matter. It was later in colour. Whichever the episodes were they were good to watch and you can also see the makes of cars back then, the buildings and see how the police operated without today's mobile phones. If it's action you want, you got it along with great story lines

If you like the 70s cop shows with CRAWFORD PRODUCTIONS and enjoyed Matlock Police in particular its a nice trip down memory lane. Lovely and surprising now to see so many great australian actors first cutting their teeth with these series. John waters, sigrid thornton, maurie fields, john english, diane craig, to name but a few....

Volume 5 is yet another outing from the Guys and Gals trapped in the Black and White world of Matlock.
The 'Slick' states there is bonus material on one of the Discs, however I could'nt find it.
As with all the Crawford releases, I'd like to see Outtakes and
behind-the-scenes images of cast and the various Actors who appeared in the show.
The Crawford Blooper Reel would have to be massive !.
Actually a whole Blooper Volume could be released showcasing all the Company's shows, a guaranteed best seller hands down !
I'd also like to see included in any future volumes, a few Scripts from the Shows or episodes (Some U.S. releases have these) + the incidental Music heard in various Crawford Programs or episodes.
The Sky's the limit and much more can be done than just releasing Volumes of Tv Programs.
The only documentary I've ever seen about Crawford's was the
1995 (??) program hosted by Andrew McFarlane.
I don't recall the name, but it deserves a Commercial release.
Regarding Volume 5, my favourite Episodes are
    'No Sweat', 'Skyhigh', and "Ski-Do".
I've noticed there are more action based episodes which Matlock needed.
"Ski-Do" was a welcome change to the normally seen countryside.
Volume 5 is the start of a number of episodes where storyline's have improved.
I look forward to purchasing more Volumes as they're released.
