Most Enjoyable and educatonal
Posted by John on 18/08/2021
I enjoyed the episodes which I also showed to my daughter who found them to be very educational. It taught her such words as the wireless and telegrams. It was also an education on how crime could be solved without DNA and Mobile Phones as well all the other things we rely on today.
I enjoyed as it also gave me an insight on Australian values in the 1960s a time that was innocent. A world without political correctness. I will try and watch every episode as part of a journey.

Was way to young to remember these early episodes, I could barely walk. Melbourne in the shilling, pounds and pence era. Great viewing still have half the episodes to view. I watch them on Tuesday nights when the show traditionally aired.

Haven't watch all episodes yet, but so far great viewing. I could barely walk when the first episodes were on TV. Old school TV, (pre decimal era) vehicles don't have seat belts, smoking in doors. Looking forward to purchasing other volumes.

I I bought these for my Mothers birthday, she said they it's the best gift she has ever been given, we've watched the first 3 seasons and love it, apart from the great story lines, looking back at Melbourne 50 years ago is an education, I have a new appreciation for Leonard Teale, what an outstanding actor he was not to mention Terry McDermott and the rest of the cast, they were so talented
Looking forward to adding to the collection.

I've been really amazed by the quality of the DVDs, more than 50 years after original screening. I've always loved Homicide and am enjoying seeing the early episodes, (screened before I was even born!). John Fegan playing Insp Connolly particularly good. Thanks so much Crawfords!!

So glad this has been released .
The stories stand up well.... apparently many were based on true cases.
Amazing retro cars, streetscapes, clothes, technology, signage, shops etc
Picture and sound quality is fine.
Widescreen works well .
Thanks ! More please !

I wish to thank Crawford's for releasing this show to DVD and I intend to continue purchasing the entire series.
I wonder whether any fans of Homicide remember another Crawford Production named "HUNTER". Hunter was released before Division 4 and I wish that Crawfords would release this show to DVD also.
Can Crawfords shed some light as to when "HUNTER" WILL BE RELEASED TO DVD.
So happy to be able to purchase the whole series

Great to see this sort of tv saved for generations to see and enjoy. The scenes, the actors. It is a great walk down memory lane or a trip into the past to see how things were back then. Keep it coming
keep them coming crawfords

Great memories of another one of my favorite shows, it is really great to be finally able to see so many early episodes that I missed of Homicide, do yourself a favor and buy Homicide for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
I hope that you also release both Matlock Police and Hunter on DVD soon also.
Ps keep up the good work Crawfords and keep releasing the whole series please.
Great Melbourne show

Homicide is a Melbourne television classic, and like all classics it just gets better with age. I watched Homicide when I was just a kid in the 60s. This show has lost none of its charm. I loved watching it then and I love watching it now. It's wonderful to see the cars and fashions and Homicide is, no doubt, a wonderful historic record of Melbourne as well. This is where Melbourne television cut its teeth. Thank you Crawfords.
great Aussie TV drama

Enjoyed watching these shows 50 years on, they still hold up as good drama. Ground breaking TV for Australia. For the first time on TV we could see our streets , hear our accents and tell our stories.
Oldies but Goodies

I just love the old classic TV shows of the 60s and 70's. It's a shame that a lot of old TV has been lost forever. Very wise of Crawfords to keep their old stuff. I'll definitely be ordering more.
