So great to watch Cop Shop again. It has stood the test of time. They don't make them like this any more. -
Eric O'reily Rules !
Posted by Elana on 3/11/2017
I'm loving reminiscing back to the 70's with this classic show. Almost from episode 1 the show gels immediately. Sometimes the storylines are a little rushed and should be continued in to the next episode, but it still works. Love the characters ; Danni, The Big V , and Eric are my faves. Keep ém coming, Crawfords ! -
A Long Time Coming
Posted by DiGiDeX on 26/10/2017
I purchased the first two volumes on the day of release. I've been waiting a long time for the series. A fun step back to a less P.C. Australia. They must have received kick backs from tobacco companies as there are so many actors sucking on durries like it was their last one. -
Crawford Gold

Another great box set from Crawford DVD. It is great to see these characters again and taught, edgy (for the time) storylines. My only complaint: Why did it take so long? -

BAKER!

In volume 2, Cop Shop is really starting to hit its straps. Thirty or so episodes in and we are getting to know the characters in and out of uniform and the personal and professional lives are becoming more intertwined. Valerie, the doting wife dropping in to Riverside CI unannounced to visit JJ, Georgiou storming out at regular intervals dealing with 'personal' matters and the complex dynamic that is starting to develop in the uniform branch when Constable Tony Benjamin takes a shine to Senior Sergeant O'Reilly's wheelchair-bound daughter Claire. Long suffering O'Reilly's banter with Roy Baker is also amusing on second watch. Suffice to say that it is entertaining watching these episodes again after having seen them decades ago back in the day. I vaguely recall how things end up but like many movies and TV shows, the journey is more fun than the destination. Patiently yet eagerly await volume 3. Oh and absolutely echo the other Crawford's devotees in wanting Skyways released on DVD. I used to thoroughly enjoy the back to back viewing of these two shows circa 1979-1980. Skyways was on at 9:30pm as it was deemed a more 'adult' production if I recall. I certainly remember a lot of alcohol was routinely consumed in the airport manager's office. -
