The Sullivans- Crawford drama from the 70s-80s; is a wonderful look at family life during the years fof the @nd World War. Both the boys at the front and the family left at home are well portrayed with the story lines moving along quickly.

I am only on Series 3 . i have 10 or more to go!!
  5. True Australian Classic

I hadn't seen the Sullivan's since I was a small child - and couldn't remember a lot about it - other than the main family character members., and that I liked it. I thought it was a real shame it has never been put back on TV - after all there seem to be a lot of reruns.
So, when I discovered I could purchase the episodes on DVD, I've began watching the series again.
Its great to revisit this kind of TV - Its entertaining, relaxing, and a taste of the 'good old days' - the Australia that we recall, and miss, and is basically no more. Its a wonderful 'social study', of how people were, what they believed, thought, and the culture in general, and the changes that took place.
I don't have to stop and think 'Is there anything on TV' tonight!
