very relastic portrayal

As a person who grew up in the times portrayed in this series, I can say that it gives quite a realistic portrayal of the times except perhaps for the amount af beer consumed. This would be a little excessive for the average working man. A very entertaining nostalga trip for me.
All Of The Above

I can't elaborate much more on what the previous reviews say really, great show, etc, etc. I've only just started getting The Sullivans volumes now, after having already purchased all the cop shows that have been released. I was never a big watcher of The Sullivans back in the day, but being on five nights a week I caught a few episodes, now I can enjoy them at my leisure, especially seeing the Cop Shop volumes seemed to have slowed down or stalled after Volume 11.

Wonderful historical family drama

The Sullivans- Crawford drama from the 70s-80s; is a wonderful look at family life during the years fof the @nd World War. Both the boys at the front and the family left at home are well portrayed with the story lines moving along quickly.
I am only on Series 3 . i have 10 or more to go!!
True Australian Classic

I hadn't seen the Sullivan's since I was a small child - and couldn't remember a lot about it - other than the main family character members., and that I liked it. I thought it was a real shame it has never been put back on TV - after all there seem to be a lot of reruns.
So, when I discovered I could purchase the episodes on DVD, I've began watching the series again.
Its great to revisit this kind of TV - Its entertaining, relaxing, and a taste of the 'good old days' - the Australia that we recall, and miss, and is basically no more. Its a wonderful 'social study', of how people were, what they believed, thought, and the culture in general, and the changes that took place.
I don't have to stop and think 'Is there anything on TV' tonight!
