  1. Riverside Cops and Robbers

We are now at episode 261 and still going strong. The cars, the fashion and décor are still of their time, quintessential late 70s. It it is a fun journey down memory lane, The CI and uniform boys at Riverside continue to have their hands full with rogue’s gallery. JJ is challenged like never before when he shoots dead a felon who had just wounded Vic Cameron. After viewing a series of ‘stiffs’ and shooting another crim, it finally takes full emotional toll. He breaks down in Valerie’s arms.
Valerie, Claire and evergreen Lorna go into business with a local coffee shop. It has a very rocky start. No surprises there with the ditzy Valerie running the show. Roy Baker is as altruistic and obliging as ever assisting with the DIY tasks. John Walton plays an interfering journo putting together a doco on the CI branch while revisiting a cold case. Like another reviewer, this storyline was given generous screen time and became a bit grating. Benjamin gets his ‘gig’ in CI at last. Some hardcore story lines on drugs are part of this volume as well as a stark reminder of how far we’ve come in relation to how we view the less fortunate. The daughter of one character is routinely referred to as ‘retarded’ and ‘mentally retarded’ Yeah, we have evolved and left these labels back in the last century. So, another engaging set of episodes for this nostalgic Crawford’s devotee.

Cop Shop Volume 11 - Episodes 261 to 286. We're about halfway through the series now and it's still going strong. I thought the irritating Liz Cameron (Liz Burch) was leaving, but alas, no. Now we have (in addition) the even more irritating media personality, Linford-Jones (John Walton). I don't recall him in the show at all. The fast-forward button gets a workout when he's on. But apart from those minor gripes, it's great, roll-on Volume 12 and beyond.
