John makes a surprising and crucial decision about his future when his relationship with Sue ends.

Maggie’s secret past is revealed when her daughter, Alice, makes contact. Mrs. Jessup also has an unexpected visit from her nephew Michael.

When the navy evacuation of allied troops from German occupied Crete is abandoned, the boys of the 2/7th must fend for themselves. They are forced to seek refuge in the hills and caves - relying on the help the local villagers.

Dave risks his health through overwork while Grace suffers nightmares about her sons at war. Her fears are realised when they receive an ominous telegram from the Army.

Gradually accumulating my "Sullivans" series. I loved the show years ago and still love it today. Everything is done so genuinely to the times it was set to represent and they actually cook real meals on real gas as well as having water actually coming out of the taps and tea coming out of the pot, a rare thing in this day and age of television where everything seems so fake. Well done to Crawfords on the production of this show, it was definitely up there with the best and considering these DVD's are made using original film, the reproduction is remarkably good. I would recommend these DVD's to anyone who knew the show back in the 70's and 80's as well as to all those who would like a lesson in Australian history. You won't be disappointed!
