Classic Aussie drama. Great to look back at a better life then

It should be a requirement to get an Australian passport to have seen these shows when they were released, understood the era and appreciate that life was so much simpler back then.

Nostalgia trip
Posted by Mary Ebbott on 22/02/2017
We are really enjoying our homicide Vol 9 DVD as it brings back such great memories when we were kids. As we live in Frankston where some of this vol is filmed it is especially nostalgic having a look ate what Frankston and the peninsula used to look like. Would like to have box set as the single series are so expensive to buy separately.

It is great to relive the days of Australian Police Drama. It is something that no longer exists which I believe is very sad for this generation

Second best police series

Yes a great series. Noticed that Norman Yemm comes into the volume in the 3Rd episode and retires in volume 13 before the last disc of the volume. I've ordered Homicide volumes at random, the ones that feature Norman Yemm , still volume 10 and 11 haven't watched with him. New him so well watching the Sullivans. Still my favorite Police Show is Matlock Police, almost watched all of volume 6. Will keep eye out when next volume available. Also ordered a Division 4, for the first time ever watched, volume 1 start of series to see what to make of it, seems good to watch too, will give it a bit longer and see.

DVD sequence out of sequence

Great show,only problem was that disc 1 Episode 1 started with Norman Yemm as new Detective but this episode should have been later .Other than that ,they are great shows.
Dear Peter;
Volume 9 disc 1 starts with episode 209 - The main cast being Alwyn Kurts, Leonard Teale, Lionel Long and George Mallaby. In episode 211 Lionel Long is replaced by Norman Yemm. The episodes appear in the correct order on the DVD so Norman Yemm doesn't appear until the 3rd episode on disc 1.

Homicide an Australian legend

Wow, I remember when Norman Yemm first appeared in the Homicide series. The producers wanted to a character with a tough persona and and I think he delivered. Overall a very enjoyable series.
